My Friend is Not Quite Human

Now including the original black and white artwork for page 1! An interesting variation on the Pygmalion and Galatea story, in which a woodcarver comes to realise that he’s carving his ideal woman. PS: Notice how the story title is completely non-indicative - it looks to me as if the editor just handed a title to the writer and said “see what you can do with this”.
