Mostly doom and gloom this time around, best beloved, what with Crinklestein’s Photobucket losing its fetish imagery, Lost Boy and Rent-A-Dude being relegated to Cobwebsites, and Living Statues and Lightspeed Images getting deleted, to the sorrow of bodypaint fans everywhere. Is it true that the ASFR and statuephile genres are in decline? Even I haven’t posted any new stories for a while, and my site stats are in dwindling. Sometimes I think it’s only Drake and a handful of others who are keeping this fetish alive (so to speak). If you disagree and have a website to prove it, please let me know! I’d also appreciate being informed of any other changes to existing sites, and of any new ones that may happen to be starting up.

	THE NEW MEDUSA REALM MESSAGE BOARD Community discussion forum Originally hosted on Bravenet, the MR Board was suspended for alleged Terms of Service violations. Dmuk has now relaunched the Board with the help of Darin Brown (Naga), and it can be found as part of the Naga’s Den Forums. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to archive the old board, but the new board is already attracting some lively discussions.

As noted above the site is protected by an open password, as per Image Event’s policy on adult material.
	CRINKLESTEIN’S PHOTOBUCKET SITE EROTIC CONTENT WITHDRAWN Crinklestein’s site used to feature his stony and metallic transformation imagery (among other things). Now there’s nothing there but other things. He also has a deviantART site which does feature some treated lingerie photos, but no stone or metal tfs. Sigh.
Outdated Reciprocal Link	NAGA’S DEN | NAGA’S DEN FORUM Art, f, m, f/f Naga is half human and half-serpent. She(?) is also a talented cartoonist whose work shows influences from such science fiction artists as Tim Kirk and Phil Foglio. In addition to her transformation artwork, clean and otherwise, she also has a page of “Rants”, in which she gets to sound off about all the things that bug her, and also there’s “The A-List”, a fairly comprehensive listing of adult transformation sites (including this one, albeit with the old URL). Anyway, check out her site - she’s ’armless enough (ouch!!!) And don’t forget to check out the site’s forum, which is a hive of (in)activity.

	THE LIVING MANNEQUIN CIRCLE News, photos, no sex The Living Mannequin Circle is dedicated to those tireless individuals [who stole their tires? - Ed] who spend hours at a time posing as display mannequins. The site includes (fully clothed!) pictures and articles about this fascinating art.
	IDLE MINDS Comic, no sexual content NOW COMPLETE. Idle Minds is a comic by Ian Samson about a girl who is turned into a statue so she can spy on an evil dictator. But will she be able to stay sane while her mind is locked in a stone body - and if she does, what will the experience teach her?
COMMERCIAL SITES
	STUCKFAST PRODUCTIONS DVDs for sale, freeze, stuck, f, no nudity or sex (but see below) The freeze section features lots of original video productions featuring young women getting frozen in various positions and sometimes placed in a variety of poses by their - ahem - friends. DVDs can be proeviewed on the site. Most of the freeze DVDs run to between 15 and 50 minutes, and they cost between US $15 and $35 each. But for those of you who’d prefer something a little more explicit in exchange for your hard-earned coin....

Unfortunately the Living Statues site seems to have lost its domain, and it’s now occupied by one of those obnoxious domain placeholder pages. Statufied is Renigad’s personal site, featuring poses by himself. Note that one of the site’s embedded videos includes male masturbation. Of course we’re all adults here, but it’s still a little startling.

	R. T. EDWARDS PHOTOGRAPHY Photos, f, nudity Fortunately this one’s still online, featuring girls in gold and silver finishes, although the pictures are a bit small.

	RIHANNA: UMBRELLA VIDEO Music promo, f, nudity (no actual immobility) How much of the silver-painted nudity in this video was be allowed on the various music channels? I’ve only ever watched it online.
STATIC SITES
	GREAT GIFT OF SLEEP by Shon Richards Story, f/f I love this story. Belerra and Lorelei are among the passengers in suspended animation aboard a starship. Belerra has programmed the system to wake them both once a year, but not to revive Lorelei’s voluntary muscles.... This story has the kind of plot I could have killed for, but as far as I can tell it’s the only one by Shon Richards to feature erotic paralysis. Sigh.
	AMAZON LISTMANIA: PEOPLE GET TURNED TO STONE Book list by Craig McPherson One of a series of pages on an obscure little site called Amazon, where people get the chance to share their interests...which in this case is OUR interest! A good cross-section of statuephile books, comics and videos. Hooray!
COBWEBSITES Some of these sites may just be on hold for various reasons, but if you’re paranoid you might want to start caching their content in case their webhosts suddenly decide to tear them down (it’s already happened to a couple of sites that used to be listed here)....
Outdated Reciprocal Link	THE COBALT JADE WEBSITE Stories, illustrated, m/f, f/f Cobalt Jade is one of the most talented erotic authors on the Web today, but unfortunately she’s also notoriously slow at updating. On her site you’ll find her epic novel “The Black Pearl of Pharazion”, which features all kinds of bondage including transformation into statues; you’ll also find her superheroines saga “Paragon Versus Plastica” and the thrilling Arabian Nights-style adventure “The Tale of Lassok and Zairbhreena” (seven years in the writing!), in which a beautiful princess is transformed into a statue. Can her beloved prince save her from all manner of perils?
	ALEX’S GALLERY YAHOO! GROUP FREE MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL Photomanips, f, f/f Alex’s original website was deleted, so he set up a Yahoo! Group where you can find his photomanipulations, depicting young ladies in various states of undress being transformed into statues or mannequins. Hasn’t been updated in ages and most of the new messages are spam. I’m not even sure if new memberships are still being approved. If you can access the files the Group is useful only as an image archive.
	THE MASTER LIST OF ASFR-RELATED MATERIAL Listings NO UPDATES SINCE MARCH 2006. Compiled by WK with the help of numerous contributors, the ASFR Master List is a comprehensive listing of living statue, living mannequin, freeze and robot scenes in movies, TV, music videos, animation, comic books and literature. Unfortunately another project that seems to have fallen by the wayside, but still useful as a reference tool.

	THE HUB CITY PROJECT spearheaded by JMD, Anne Onymous, Robin Ericson, Tyler Kojen and ArgoForg, et al. (WORK IN PROGRESS) Stories, art; m/f, f/f NO UPDATES SINCE 2005. One day somebody is going to write a doctoral thesis on the links between ASFR and Superhero comic characters. Personally I think it has something to do with the form-fitting costumes, but that’s not enough to grant me a PhD. Sigh. Anyway, in the meantime be sure and check out this new online community. It’s an open-access site for anyone who’s into Superheroine ASFR, based around a fictional city that’s been painstakingly crafted with a ton of background material.
	ASFR FICTION (ROBOLOVER) Stories, robotic, m/f, f/f DELETED BY AOL. Robolover’s ASFR Fiction site features lots of stories hand-picked by Robolover himself to reflect his interests. As his name suggests, there are plenty of stories about robotised ladies. AOL recently announced the closure of AOL Hometown. This resulted in the deletion (among others) of Robolover’s ASFR Fiction site. “Dear AOL Hometown user, We're sorry to inform you that on Oct. 31, 2008, AOL® Hometown will be shut down permanently. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.” However, don’t despair, because the site has been cached, meaning that a return needn’t be ruled out.
	WORLD OF PHANTASIE (original site) WORLD OF PHANTASIE (local mirror) Stories, f NO LONGER UPDATED. Argo Forg’s epic fantasy story in several chapters. “Enter now, into a world of ancient times, when the wonder of magick was everywhere and men of strange power walked the Earth. Journey to a far-off land, where beauty and danger lurk around every bend in the winding road or a flowing brook. Heed ye, of the perils that accompany foolishness and the rewards that come to those that choose... wisely.” This site was one of the casualties of the recent Many-Realms crash, so with Argo’s permission I reposted it as a mirror, only to see the original return some months later. Oh, well, at least you have a choice. It’s another Argo Forg project that is now on permanent hold, although Argo has indicated that if other authors want to continue the saga they are welcome to do so.
Outdated Reciprocal Link	STORIES BY LOST BOY His own stories, m/f; hosted stories m/f, f/f NO UPDATES SINCE 2007 Lost Boy’s site features his stories about soul-sucking succubi and carnivorous trees. There’s a bit of statue material too, and lots of stories by other authors, either linked from his site or hosted locally, which cater for an interesting variety of tastes. Sadly this now looks abandoned and may be not long for this world. Some of the front page images have gone AWOL, which is never a good sign. If you’re interested in any of the stories linked from this site, now’s the time to start harvesting links before they vanish.

If you’ve seen his illustrations for my stories Mist in Stone and The Boy who Stood Still you’ll know how good he is already. (And if you haven’t then why not?) PYGMALION WEBHOSTING Over the years I happen to have cached content from a few sites that were deleted, and reposted it here on my own webspace for the sake of posterity.
	PLANET OF THE AMAZONS Part One | Part Two | Part Three (15 pages per part) CG photostory, robot, f/f, nudity, sex Here’s a story, profusely illustrated in Poser art. When naked female androids invade a planet of naked lesbian warrior women, who will come out on top? (PS Did I mention that they’re all naked? As in really naked? As in totally, completely and absolutely naked? Oh, yes, so I did.) As well as appealing to robot fans the story also includes some ecstatic paralysis. Apparently the story is by Pluto, who’s very into the whole female combat thing. At least in this story there’s no actual blood or death, although some of the androids get more than dented. The original was posted on three separate free webhosts, two of which got deleted, so I took the liberty of reposting it here. If the author happens to see this, no copyright infringement is intended.
	TOTAL IMMERSION Game scenarios, illustrated “This rather modest website exists to bring together the authors working on the serial shared fiction story entitled "Total Immersion", abbreviated as "TI". The concept is simple; bring together a team of writers well-versed in story telling in the ASFR genre, offer them an intriguing cast of characters, and let them loose in a playground of perils that can turn people into statues, waxworks, mannequins, or other immobilized figures. A collaboration will be formed to create the initial starting point, after which individual segments will be written be separate authors. Everyone will come together again for the finale. The completed story will then be electronically published on the net.” Only it wasn’t. Did everyone just get bored with it?
	FROZEN MOMENTS Stories, m/f, f/f The former Medusa Realm story site, edited by Panic. In response to a recent query by another ASFR fan, Panic posted a link to his original files. I also downloaded them and offered to host them online, so here they are.
	ALL UNDER CONTROL! Stories, m/f, f/f EHY’s site featuring his android and statue stories. As the title suggests, the key theme is control fantasies, not all of them sexual. EHY is a writer who knows how to put words and plots together, which definitely makes his site worth checking out.
	THE ASFR COLLECTIONS Story recommendations, m/f, f/f Various contributors’ lists of their favourite ASFR and related stories. Now back online and open for contributions.
	THE LIVING DOLL HOUSE Art, photos, stories, poetry, f, m/f CACHED VERSION OF DELETED SITE. Living dolls, mannequins and statues; stories, poetry, art and photomanips. Some of the external links were obsolete, though not all of them, and there are a few missing files, but there’s still some interesting stuff here.
	STATUEPHILE HOME PAGE Articles, illustrations, f, f/f. CACHED VERSION OF DELETED SITE. SOME IMAGES MISSING. This is one of the older (and smaller) ASFR sites and was deleted by AOL (which would make it America Offline, maybe?), so I’ve decided to rescue as much of it as I could. With grateful acknowledgements to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, I’ve now retrieved ALL of the original pages, though a few of the images are still missing. There’s some interesting content, including the Fans of Frozen Women Poll Results from April ’97, in which we get to find out what ASFR fans really want!
	THE TECHNOSEXUALITY, PYGMALIONIST & MIND CONTROL FETISH FAQ 3.0 Factual, illustrated, G to R, f, m/f Everything you always wanted to know about robot fetishism and agalmatophilia but were afraid to ask.... Superbly researched and written by WinterRose and profusely illustrated. The essential guide to what turns US on! NOTE: I originally posted this as an unofficial mirror, but now that the original has gone this is the de facto official version, and it’s still being used as a research tool.
	I WAS TURNED TO STONE Story, m, no sex. CACHED VERSION OF DELETED PAGE. It seems that back in the mists of time, somebody found a little story called “I Was a Living Statue” on a newsgroup and decided to have some fun with it. Despite the apparently jaundiced attitude to agalmatophilia I’m grateful to the person who decided to preserve this little gem for Posterior...er, I mean posterity. The original page is long gone, but I managed to save all of it except the wallpaper which I’ve replaced with a more or less similar design.

It’s been gone a long time now and the remnants of the site have been deleted. Fortunately all of the important material has been preserved on other sites. So here, as a tribute, I’ve reproduced two versions of the site’s portal, even though none of the links work any more. As for Argo, he went on to create World of Phantasie and is now co-proprietor of GorgonArt (see above).
