The Seal

By Rotwang (Zardreth@Cyberking.be)

Monica didn't believe what she had done, entering a talent contest ! She wore a silver wig, mask and a bodysuit. The suit was slightly padded to suggestively alter her shape a bit and she used silvered sunglasses to hide her eyes. Moving in mechanical tune to the eighties electronic music, she did her routine, still wondering if she'd go through it all ...

She could see the bored judges, having seen a broad range of mediocrity, look at her with less than interest. "Am I going to top it off with a bang or just do as they expect ?" She asked herself. If she did it quickly, people might not notice certain details, but she'd still have to face people backstage ... And what if she had to do an encore ? Safely hidden behind her mask, and only halfway through her routine, she still had a few minutes to think it all over. "Oh what the heck !" She went inside. Just as the music changed to the second number she reached for her wig and tossed it away. And then she grasped her suit and pulled at it, feeling the loose stitches she had made, pop and loosen. She heard the gasp going through the room, people getting up on their seats and eyes popping wide. With a quick move she dropped her gloves and tore the simple plastic mask from her face.

The crowd didn't know if it had to cheer or just stare in silence.

She was chrome from head to toe, shiny like a mirror, and Monica loved it. This was her coming out. No more hiding ... She was chrome !

The crowd, having decided, went wild.

And that night Monica won a thousand dollars and the admiration of about two-hundred people.

Back in her dressing room, locked to keep snoops out, Monica looked at herself ... The shiny face, cast from her face was smiling back at her. She stared at the two silver orbs she had for eyes and lost herself into her fantasy. It was as if she could feel her caress through her hard skin and shuddered. Her hands ran over her well-shaped breasts with their large solid nipples and she could swear she felt it. She could hear her metal body grind as she shifted on her chair and felt her organic body underneath throb. Heart pounding, she reached and touched her sex through the slit in the suit. She didn't even think about the few people who had noticed it was wide open ...

Her fingers gracefully danced over the only part of her anatomy that was soft and grasped her breast with the other hand at the same time. "The world has to see me as I truly want to be !" She said and felt the delightful wave of the orgasm coming up ...

Still wobbly on her knees, she gathered all the spare parts of her cheap robot outfit and shoved them into a bag. She reached for her jeans and slid her metal leg into it. It was hard to do the buttons, but she managed with a little tug. A T-shirt and black denim jacket over it, she was ready to step outside...

People in the community center stared, people on the street stared and the cab driver stared. Monica felt that intense relief mixed with the sensation of being watched, admired even. Although, behind the mask she was a pretty young woman, she hardly had the looks that turned heads, but now everybody looked at her. Even at home, she didn't want to take it off and went to bed in it.

The next morning, Monica didn't feel half as bad as she had dreaded. Gavin had made a great job of her suit ... But then she decided that it wasn't a suit ... It was her ! She wanted to be chrome forever. Her new body had all she needed. There were orifices in all the right places to allow her organic insides to do their job ...

"What ?" Gavin asked, not believing what he heard. He almost dropped his sledgehammer. "I want you to seal me in !" The metal woman said, she said, very suggestively posed on one of his unused stands, like another of his scrap metal statues. "But you can't stay in there !" He said. "It's not hygienic !" "That's my problem." She said. Gavin shook his head. "What if you have an accident ?" "What if I have a really bad itch ?" She quipped. "Look, I can't just blowtorch you !" He said, having finally put down the hammer, remembering it was quite heavy. "I'm wearing something underneath." She said. "It's that fireproof stuff, Nomex, besides you have the stuff to do it !" "Look, I only did the suit because you begged me, but I don't want to go through with that !" "There are other guys that'll do it for money." She said. "They'll ruin it !" Gavin said. "You'll be full of burn marks." He couldn't resist touching her. He felt the hard metal of her body. She crouched before him. "Please !" She whimpered. "Only if you allow me to make it reversible ..." He said. "Just hard enough to prevent you from removing it, but easy enough to open !" She nodded and reached for him.

It was as if Gavin was making love to one of his statues ...

"Tell me as soon as it gets too hot !" Gavin activated the welding kit and apprehensively began to seal her into her metallic shell.

Monica's new life was more exciting than she ever expected ... The shop she worked in suddenly had more customers, all eager to get a look at her. And wherever she went, people watched her. She was a hit at parties and even made it to a local public access talk-show. The hardest part was her new diet ... Restricted to fluids sucked through a straw, she felt herself take up less space inside her shell. Her movements changed as well, precise and mechanical. After a while she had almost forgotten how to move normally ! And she never felt a single itch ...

She was happy, looking at the world through unblinking silver eyes. Weeks, months, a year passed.

Gavin would come to her from time to time ... "Don't you have enough !" he asked her a dozen times. He pleaded her to quit, dreading something would go wrong. But she wouldn't let go of her fantasy, seemingly becoming more of a robot every day.

By the end of the second year Gavin was very concerned. He finally called John Church, a "deprogrammer". He fought against the brainwashing effects of cults. "She is obviously trapped inside her fantasy." Chruch said, looking at the notes he had made. "Two years you say ?" Church was a former marine drill sergeant. Tall and imposing with a stark white crewcut. He looked at the grungy long haired Gavin. Church glanced at the picture of a young woman on his desk and sighed softly. "I'll try my best !" He said holding out his beefy hand, ready to crush Gavin's.

It was much easier to get to Monica than most cult members. She was alone and highly visible. Three men jumped out of a van and did a quick snatch and grab.

They got her to an old abandoned warehouse and tied her up. "Let.me.go !" She said cocking her head mechanically. "You're Monica, right ?" Church bent over her and tried to stare her in the eyes. He pulled a picture from his shirt pocket and held it before her. "This is you, Monica, not this metal shell you wear."
"The.organic.life.form.Monica.is.an.integral.part.of.this.unit." She answered. Gavin, hidden in the shadows, felt shivers going over his back. "Nonsense, Monica, you're a lovely young woman, you don't have to hide behind that mask !" Church was still careful in his approach. "It.is.not.a.mask." She said droning without emotion. "I'll show you the real Monica." Church said, and motioned a man to come over, while he picked up a mirror. With a little prybar, he put under the seal on her mask, and cracked it open. Gavin crossed his fingers.

Church had expected a dirty, unkempt face, the sour smell of sweat and wild, crazy eyes.

He recoiled from the sudden sight. The other man suddenly doubted himself, looked at the mask he was holding and looked back at Gavin who noticed something was seemingly wrong. "What ?" Gavin asked. "You'd better take a look !" Church said. "What ?" Gavin reiterated and gasped as he saw Monica's face.

Her face, hair, eyes were shiny metal...

"Is.something.wrong ?" The robot asked ...
